Google Business Profile (GBP)
As a business owner, you know that it’s essential to have a solid online presence. One of the best ways to achieve this is by having an excellent Business Profile on Google. This profile allows customers to learn more about your business, see your products and services, read reviews, and contact you directly.
Google Posts are a great way to increase your visibility in Google Search and Maps. They allow you to share events, new products and services, and more with searchers right in the GBP Knowledge Panel. Tips to creating a successful Business Profile:
Provide as much information as possible. When setting up your account, include your hours of operation, days open (and holidays), phone numbers, and pictures. Make sure to include a business description, website URL, contact information, and products and services. Post answers to frequently asked questions. These will help customers (and Google) learn more about your company and what you have to offer.
Reviews. Encourage existing customers to share reviews. Positive reviews can help attract new customers, and negative reviews can help you improve your business. It’s important to make it easy for customers to share reviews by providing a link or QR code on your website, in advertisements, and on social media.
Post regular content. This could include blog posts, videos, images, or infographics. Interesting and engaging content will help you attract new customers and keep them coming back for more.
Other things to note:
- You need a Google Business Profile in the Local Pack in search results
- Include photos, videos, text, CTAs, and URLs in your posts
- Posts are limited to 1500 characters, but the first 100 or so will be most visible in GBP so make them count
